1. Learn to relax
Go for a walk, listen to music and stay hydrated. We all get stressed out during parts of the day, by doing some of these things you can help to kick that stress out. Take a quick trip to our break room and grab a quick cup of coffee.
2. Time is on your side
Plan, plan and plan. Time is a major factor in workplace stress. We often worry about how we are going to accomplish all our tasks within 8 hours. If you plan well and still can’t get it all done, don’t stress, you have tomorrow.
3. Don’t overload
Don’t always say “yes” all the time. We can feel pressured to always take on tasks that are asked of us, but this is going to overload you. It’s okay to say “no” to a task you can’t handle at the moment, if you plan effectively you will know what you can and cannot say yes to.
4. Communicate
Offices can be small spaces, you spend all day around your co-workers, and they may have certain habits that annoy you. Don’t let stress build up as a result of not speaking your mind, communicate effectively with co-workers and you will be able to reduce your day-to-day stress.
