Office Fitness: More Important Than You Know
Office fitness is important, everyone wants to be fit and healthy. But how many of us actually accomplish this? Not many, and those with an office job, know the struggle of staying fit. Checkout our top tips for staying fit in the office. Summer 2022 will be here sooner than you know it!
Fit in the office
Ball Chair
This may not be feasible where you work, but if it is, give it a go. Replace your office chair with a fitness ball. At around $15-$20 it’s well worth the investment, and you don’t have to use it every day. Using this ball will keep your core engaged.
Water
Always have water close to you. Keep the sodas and juices far, far away. Drinking throughout the day flushes your body of toxins and keeps you feeling fresh and energized. Water also helps you feel fuller, cutting down on your need to snack.
Move
Set a timer for every 45 minutes. Get up and move around, even if it’s just down the hallway or up the stairs. You do not want your body in a sitting position all day, this will also increase your productivity. Come to take a walk to our fully stocked break room to get those steps in. Remember, it doesn’t have to be a long walk, just make sure that you do move.
NO Snacks
The biggest culprit of putting those pounds on at work is snacking. Calories in calories out right? Absolutely right. Everything you eat counts, and snacks are a major contributor to gaining weight. The number one key to office fitness is what you eat!
Pack Your Own Lunch
No need to go out every time, talk about a waste of money, and the majority of places do not offer healthy options. Cook your own meals ahead of time and make them as healthy as you can. You will cut down on the calories and save money too!
